New Year, New Blog, New…Baby!
Is it too late to wish everyone a happy, albeit very belated, New Year? Whether or not that is the case (being February now I’m inclined to say it may be!), I hope 2019 has started well and any resolutions you might have made have lasted past the first month of the year. Or perhaps, like me, you didn’t make any this year?
Now that’s not because I’m lazy or don’t think I need to – quite the opposite, there are lots of things I’d like to improve or be better at – but because in just a few weeks’ time I am due to give birth and will become a mum for the first time! So I suppose my resolution is to keep a tiny little being alive and well, and try to be the best mummy I can be. Alongside my new 24/7 job, my other main focus for 2019 will be taking plenty of photos of my new baby; being a perpetual model is the “curse” of being a photographer’s child! Expect to see plenty of newborn, sitter and cake smash photos over the coming the year…practicing what I preach by ensuring all those milestones are captured 🙂
So what can you expect from my blog going forward? Even whilst I’m on maternity leave, I hope to be informative and helpful, giving you, my readers, tips on how to prepare for photo sessions, reviews on baby related stuff that I try as I go through this new phase of my life, photography and camera advice or even just inspiration on a whole range of mum, baby and photo session topics…so make sure you add yourself to the updates mailing list to receive all this goodness, including future offers!
For this, my first post, I’d like to turn the tables though and ask for your advice; new and experienced mums, what good tips and tricks can you share with impending mums-to-be about coping with the first few weeks and months with a new baby? Comment below or send me a message!
