Newborn Photographer West Sussex

Held at my home studio in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex, newborn photography sessions are the perfect way to capture those very early days that otherwise pass you by at lightning speed. Brand new babies change so quickly in the first few months and even weeks, so this session is a must-have for any proud new parent who doesn’t want to forget how precious and tiny their baby once was.

Sessions are typically done within the first 14 days of your baby being born; this helps ensure we get those cute, sleepy poses before baby becomes too curious about their surroundings! I set aside a whole day for each newborn photography session meaning that you don’t need to worry about how much feeding or comforting your little one might need. Sessions take approximately 3 hours, although sometimes can run a little longer, and include the use of a range of props and outfits in various colours. I will even have drinks and snacks on hand for sleep deprived new parents!

If you are looking for a newborn photographer in West Sussex, I recommend booking around the date of your 20 week scan to avoid disappointment. Let me know your due date at the time of booking and we will keep in touch nearer the time.

Around 7-10 days after your session, a proof gallery of approximately 30 images will be ready for you to view, with your final chosen images being fully edited and ready within 3 weeks of choosing. I can also help with decisions on wall products and framing to suit your home if your chosen option includes the wall art credit. A session fee of £100 is payable upon booking to secure your chosen date and deducted off the value of your chosen package.

There are three package options for you to choose from below, giving you the ability to make the decision that suits your home and lifestyle.

Newborn Photography West Sussex: FAQ’s

When should I book my newborn shoot?

I highly recommend booking around your 20 week scan to avoid disappointment. As I take time and care over your newborn session, I only book a certain number of them each month; it’s always worth checking with me if you find yourself nearing the end of your pregnancy and realising you havent booked your newborn photographer yet though. I’ll do my best to find space for you!

How old should my baby be for a newborn session?

Ideally baby should be no more than 14 days old in order to capture those cute, curled up sleepy poses. I find that babies start to become a lot more curious about the world around them after a couple of weeks, and whilst it is fine to do a session after this time, please be aware that this may limit the number of poses we can achieve during the session.

What if my baby arrives early or late?

That’s no problem at all! As long as you are already booked in with me, we will arrange a session date as soon as you let me know your baby has arrived.
